Road Trip - Rushmore

We took you on an epic two-week road trip from Chicago to Vancouver. Anyone who says that it's a bad idea to lock a 17-month old in a car for six hours a day doesn't know what they're talking about - you were an absolute delight.

It took you a week to learn everyone's names. Oddly, the one you struggled with longest was "Where's Penny?" It was a breakthrough when you realised that you needed to point to yourself!

The Four Ts

Your granny and granddad took you on a boat from Greenwich to Westminster today.

You enjoyed playing with gravel and watching the pigeons.

Your granddad taught you where to find your teeth, toes, tummy and tongue. You're very cute when we ask you, "Where is your tummy?" and you pull your dress up to show us! (Let's hope you're not still doing that at sixteen...)

Marcus Folkard

We went to visit Marcus Folkard, the new baby son of one of my oldest and best friends James and his wonderful wife Clare.

He was three weeks old when we saw him. It really hit home to your mummy what a challenge it will be to have a brand new baby whilst also looking after you - she was a little freaked out.

Many Meetings

Last week we visited Gramps and Marion on their gorgeous canal boat Many Meetings.

We went from Paddington Station.

You had fun running up and down the train.

Great uncle Chris and great aunt Gay were there too.

You enjoyed being on the boat, although you didn't much like going down into the locks.

And we visited Crofton Pumping Station while it was in steam.

You had a ball!

Until you tired yourself out...

...and it was time to go home.
