We were out walking this evening. The weather was glorious, so there were lots of runners going along Norwood Road, probably on their way to Brockwell Park. You were sitting on my shoulders and we were having a nice chat.
You noticed that the runners carry water with them, so I explained that it is important to stay hydrated when you run. Then a man wandered past carrying a can of lager.
"Runners carry water, walkers carry beer!" you said, as if proudly stating the answer to a mathematical problem.
I giggled, and explained that not all walkers drink beer. Once I confirmed that I wasn't giggling at you but at the situation, you took the information on happily.
You have a beautifully pure way of looking at the world.
