Alas!

After over two years of updating this blog so consistently, I haven't posted for weeks. Boo!

Minnie is now eating voraciously, talking (in vowels only), and starting to crawl.

You are growing up fast into an intelligent, affectionate and mischievous girl.

Here are some recent family photos from Sam and Andy Warner's wedding, and from your Granny and Grangrad's 40th wedding anniversary:

Tantrums and tiaras

We went to Sam and Andy's wedding at the weekend, at Court Colman Manor. You said the bride looked very beautiful, and you had a blast playing around the grounds of the hotel.

But above all you enjoyed the dancing. You danced for two hours straight. When one adult got tired of dancing with you, you went and got another one. And you only stopped because your mummy and I wanted to go to bed.

Then on the way home we met with Katherine and Rich and their daughter Charlotte, who is very close to your age. You got on well with her - playing the leader as usual.

What else has been going on?

Recently, you've been having terrible tantrums, which are even more unpleasant for you than they are for us. As soon as the fog passes you're full of apologies and sweetness. Thankfully, most of the time you are as delightful as you've always been.

Your favourite toy at the moment is Duplo. You've been making things like a tower or a boat or a plane and bringing them to show to us. Your favourite bedtime books right now are Cars and Trucks and Things That Go and Blueberry Girl.

You are now officially potty trained. The rate of accidents has gone down to one every few days.

And you still always answer the same thing every morning when we ask you what you dreamed about. "Crocodiles and lions. Snap and roar."
