Fry

Our gorgeous, ridiculously friendly, gentlemanly cat Fry passed away on Easter Sunday.  It seems that he may have been hit by a car, he was found by a neighbour in a driveway.

I was so sad.  We all were, as he was such a beloved part of our household.

I will miss him so much.

The Great Outdoors

We are trying to get out of the city ever more, to show you both how fun it is to get a bit muddy, collect pine comes and twigs, and to enjoy the amazing views.

On Good Friday we went to Leith Hill, where you could see the whole of the south-east on one side of the hill, and London on the other side.

And last week we went for a walk in Sydenham Woods.  A bit nearer to home but also lovely, with lots of winding paths and wildlife (you, Min and 2 other kids spent ages staring at a worm!)

Penny is 5!

We held a fun space-themed birthday party at the house.  I was very nostalgic, how can you be 5 already?!?!

Loom Band Perplexation

Ages ago I got a set of loom bands for you, but we haven't had a chance to get them out because Minnie is still a bit too young to not eat them/throw them everywhere.

So when Min was at nursery, and our clever crafty lovely friend (and your Fairy Godmother) Norris came round, we got them out to give it a shot.

And we could not figure out the instructions for the loom.  Whether Noz and I were just tired or if the instructions were dismal we will never know.  I figured out a simple way of doing it a few days later, but it was quite funny that two such crafty ladies could not show you how it was done.  Whoops!
